How we make money
Borrowers pay nothing to use this website — not to submit a request, not to be connected with a lender, not to review or decline an offer. Our revenue comes entirely from lenders and lending networks, which pay Forward Financing when we connect them with borrowers. This is the standard business model of loan connection services, and we would rather explain it plainly than let you wonder.
What compensation does and does not influence
Compensation can influence which lenders participate in our network, which lenders are presented with a given request, and the order in which requests are routed. It does not influence the terms of any loan offer — every APR, fee, and repayment schedule is set solely by the lender making the offer — and it does not influence the educational content on this site, which is written to inform rather than to steer. Our lender comparison page profiles companies we may or may not have any relationship with, at prices we describe honestly, including the expensive ones.
We are not a lender
Forward Financing does not issue loans, make credit decisions, or service payments. Submitting a request does not guarantee a connection or an approval, and the amount, rate, and terms of any offer are determined by the lender, your state, and your financial profile. Representative cost examples on this site are estimates for illustration only. Some lenders in the marketplace, including some described on our comparison page, are tribal lenders operating under the law of a sovereign Native American tribe rather than state law; any such loan's terms deserve careful reading before signing.
